I've seen many posts on Realm forums about how Realmers can be greedy and want eveything because they feel it's unfair that they don't have certain items that dropped, were there before them, etc.
I agree that there are some people in Realm that are exactly like that. I also know there are some who create new toons and pretend to be newbs just to get "free" stuff from other players, friends included. There are also people who scam and get an expensive item from someone and take off without paying, or give a mundane item engraved as a very high end magic item.

I also know that the pumpkins were altered to weigh more so people would not hoard them or wait till the end of the festival to get some while the rest of us worked hard to get ours. People like myself and FuzzySmurf tried to get as many complete
JoL sets as possible, so that way we could give them to our friends, that had to miss the festival due to medical problems, and to some that were off-line during the festival.

We managed to get the whole set of 5 carves for those people, but only 2 of the JoL's for us, which is ok... \:\) The rest of the 5 carve types we have, will be shared with newbs later in the year, as we remember what its like to be newbs and not have anything, until someone gives them something they can't hunt for.

This is our way... Our way of giving back to the community we love. \:\)
And that, folks, is how we are in real life....

Yes, I admit, I too can be found on channel 4 asking for items, but I am also found on same channel giving things away... To me, that's how life is... People help people... There is no reason to be so greedy as a lot of Realmers are, after all, it's just a game, and it's not like all that game wealth is gonna help you in the real world.

Personally, I think the fore mentioned Realmers who scam, lie, steal, and cheat because they say "It's so unfair that I did not get that item!" are the ones who is making it unfair to those of us who actually work hard to get what we want. Like I said, this is a game, having everything is not the point. Having FUN is THE point. Helping people is also a high point, in my honest opinion. I could have had 2 toons at level 1k by now, but I dont... They are both still under lvl 400 as I'm doing more to help others, and work on Burke's Realm so there is another Realm Info site and Forum for players to goto. Do I complain? Nope... Because to me, that's my way of having fun and helping my Realm community.

So in closing... If you don't have something, ask around, don't complain, lie, cheat, or steal it because "its so unfair that I don't have it." because in my book, that's not the way to get what you want.... Its more the way NOT to get what you want. (Not to mention making it unfair to everyone else.)

Thank you... (And yes, the end.)
Do you think its unfair because 'A' has what 'B' doesn't?

Well, the reason for the weight increase was due to massive macro'ing last year to grab all of the drop-only pumpkins. There where also several macro'ers doing both the "carving" and "statue" quests again and again.

As for items dropping, it's just the luck of the draw... I mean, if you have the items to hunt in the high level areas (and live) you get the better items, it's risk vs reward at its finest... these people also risk loosing their items, as if you die at say a 12 protector fight and loose your 5x hoz that was just your risk... Well enough risk for a reward of greater value (same appleis for DP/Anvil/Maze).

I am however, against scamming, lying, etc for items, those directly effect users reasoning for playing, fun... Sure, you may get kicks, but, if you abuse someone enough, they're not going to bother coming back...

And while yes, it may be a game, it's still someone's emotions you're toying with...
