Post subject: IMPORTANT: Norseman Games Office Break-in


Dear Citizens of the Realm,

Over the course of the weekend, the Norseman Games offices were hit in part of a series of robberies in our area. The criminal proceedings are currently being handled by the proper authorities; however the robbers did manage to take the majority of the workstations used by the Norseman Games development team.

The Realm servers, billing servers, development servers, mail servers and so forth were *NOT* taken, and the security of the server and all customers' data has been maintained.

These losses are solely to the Development Team's workspace. Most work was already backed up in offsite locations, but there has been some loses to work amongst the personal files lost. As such, the development of The Realm Online will continue as planned, after a short recovery period of restocking the offices with new workstations.

As this is still very early into the process, we do not currently have a date for the restoration of workstations. What is left will be used to continue the Realm Online service, uninterrupted.

Let me repeat, there is NO risk to any customers' data, characters or billing information. Any interruption to service over the course of the weekend was NOT connected to this break-in. The servers are safe and secure.

We will continue service to the best of our abilities with the limited resources left to continue customer service, tech support and other such services. Impact on development schedules has yet to be established; however with the availability of backups the delays should be minimal.

If further information becomes available, this area will be updated to reflect any further information available. For a final time: There is no danger to any of our players, this note is for the community's information only.
