Hmmm, my luck I'll come back and there will be a major thing where we lose everything but our names As it is, it will be hard for me to start with nothing again. In some ways, it's fun to build back up, but in others, you get spoiled with your chants and stuff. The first time I was in Realm, I had alot of the things considered rare now, snowman, black roses, Burnt Xmas Tree, Scales. I had it all. Left, account got purged. Second time I came back, same thing all over again, lots of rare stuff all gone now. If I come back this time, I'd like to hold on to whatever I get. I think it's amazing the game is still sailing along after all this time. When I first came in, it was 97, I think Realm was a year old then. I hope they keep it going for years to come. I don't care that the graphics are kind of old or anything. It has its charm The town shops got a bit rearranged, haven't they?

'eh supposidly we get to keep 3.2 until it can no longer support itself; but considering most people have spent years acquiring their goods, i doubt most will migrate anywhere.
And yeh, I had left my account wiht a friend to use until i came back; I came back to my account stripped, passwords changed, and a fight with billing about getting control of my toons back that lasted about a month... best of all, he doesn't even play anymore.
lol they changed some graphics, people flipped; most feel that we'd rather have NEW monsters with NEW artwork verus changing our classic monsters...
I still vote for the old hats we had, the old myth hats where so much cooler than the new ones :(...
And yes, a town rebuild, gargoyles ruled lol

That was one of my complaints. We didn't have enough new monsters. It just sounds like they wasted time and effort with the artwork and moving the town shops about. Am I remembering correctly? Scimitar for the black storyline baldie and Light in the Forest for the White one? I'm going to try to come back in the next week or so. I think some cave runs would do me good I'm kind of free till March when the new Sims2 EP comes out. Then I'll have to update all my files again for it. I can't imagine anyone giving up years worth of stuff to move to a new server. I do regret giving up mine. When I came back last time, I really missed my stuff. I was lucky enough at that time to have a friend who gave me some good things again. But then he left and I left shortly after. It seems alot of people left about the time I did. But some of us do wander back

So you have to go to each town for a different type of spell? They never did implement Blobs, did they? I seem to remember something about them long ago. I never really played for story, but I liked running ToS and I liked getting the symbol off Ezel in DH I played either good or evil depending on what I was fighting. It can be a pain to start with nothing, but if you do a giant wiz and use it for some quick gold, then you can level up your real wiz fairly well. Sometimes a human all str adventurer will do as well for some cave runs. It really depends on what you buy. Scroll of immo, potion of shift, potion of invis and being able to summon pixies or more will get a newbie leveled up pretty quick. If you invest in alittle bit of Myst, too, so you can hold on your own, low level monsters are more vulnerable to it. I remember last time I spent most of my time invis'd, shifted, and invul'd with a scroll of immo. Worked great. I just summoned alot. And I remember getting Myst spells kind of early really helped. Will be interesting to see if that strategy still works I think the biggest annoyance is waiting till you get your teleport and ID spells. It's so annoying when you can't ID what you find.

Well, the god taverns have all spells in them, but spells are broken up by type, and no tall towns have all types... I have a list on the main site of where you can go for spells.
Yes, we have blobs, and muck, and goo... lol, all really the same thing; they're in the swamp with the dragons...
I have tons of strategies, my main one i have above though; I like gettin GM Nec first if i'm goin the spell route, those summons are much more useful than FQ's imo hehe

Doubt I'll see a swamp for a long time LOL I think I'll be chicken and do low level caves for awhile till I get back into it again. Three years is a long time to be gone. Have they changed what monsters drop what? Like I used to get ammies off ogres, GoW and Sandstorm books off Elementals, and summon dopple off medusas. Has that sort of stuff changed?
